Big Local is a resident-led community development project.

150 areas around the country were selected by the National Lottery to take part in the Big Local programme and in 2012 Wormley and Turnford were lucky enough to be chosen. Each Big Local area received a grant of £1 million from the National Lottery Community Fund to spend over 10+ years on things that local people felt will benefit the community. The Wormley & Turnford Big Local hub is based at Wormley Community Centre, Fairfield Drive, Wormley, Hertfordshire, EN10 6DX. Call: 01992 217 077 or email: or website
